December is a busy month for most of us with School Holidays, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The Dora Creek Workers has many special functions planned for you, not to mention the private Christmas Parties booked in for us to cater for.
The ever so popular Family Karaoke gets the month underway on Friday 2nd at 8.00pm and along with the normal Raffles we have a special Christmas Ham and Pork Raffle that is valued well over $4,000 (at retail price) which is on Sunday 11th with tickets on sale from 1.00pm and drawn at 3.00pm.
Sunday 18th is our Members Day that is always a buzz with lucky badge draws, a snack and entertainment in the later part of the afternoon. All you have to do is be a financial member, check in at the desk in the foyer and collect your free Vouchers.
We look forward to seeing you there on any or all of our Pre Christmas functions.
During the festive season this year, we have had to cancel the Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve Saturday raffles. Due to this the December Saturday Monthly Major prize will now be drawn on Saturday 17th December and the Members Sunday End of Month free raffle will be held on Sunday 8th January 2012 at 1.00 pm.
The Lucky Members Badge Draws (on the other hand) MUST go off at the 9.00 pm draw (no matter what the value is) on New Year’s Eve (Saturday draw) on 31st December 2011 and 6th January 2012 (Friday draw).
New Year’s Eve is a night not to miss as in 2010, Phil Crawshaw (along with his band) will be making your New Year’s Eve one to remember. For a mere $25.00 per person you will get a Smorgasbord meal, entertainment as well as a real treat with the ever so funny man????? “Wayne Rogers”.
Tickets for this event are on sale at the main office or through the bar supervisor and please remember that it is first in best dressed as there are limited tickets available.
